Week 38 was a slow week, a tired week, a bit of a grumpy week, although I don’t entirely remember why! (An incentive to take better notes this year if I start to fall behind on my documenting!) Knowing our usual situation, it was probably frustration over noisy neighbors, long commutes, and not sleeping well. However, there were some highlights too, like working on some adorable printables for a friend’s sister’s baby shower and offering to create the wedding invitations for another friend.
In this week’s pages, I highlighted a then-current read for the NovelTea book club (which I did not end up finishing before the next month’s book started, so I have since set aside and will finish someday maybe!), my ever-growing collection of scented shower gels that I should really stop buying until I use what I have, and our shelf of freeze-dried food which we’ve been using more and more in place of processed things like store-bought pasta sauce. Thanks to Kristin’s #Thursday3 Instagram challenge, I was able to remember that I had been having a long tiresome week, as evidenced by the photo of me in my office at lunch. I used one of my journal prompt cards to reflect on my bad habit of procrastinating when I’m tired (which lately has been almost always!) My niece posted this article about procrastinators on Facebook recently, which really resonated with me (Spoiler: the “instant gratification monkey” totally has me on a leash.)
Also captured, our attempt at preparing some things in advance to make life easier such as a loaf of chocolate chip banana bread to bring to work for breakfasts (we use this recipe but add chocolate chips) and lemon ice cubes to make drinking water more appealing, as well as a repeated activity over a few days this week of eating salmon dip and Ritz while watching Jeopardy. (Side note: I realized after uploading these images that the jeopardy/crackers images look really plain and need some borders, so I’ll be updating those before printing!)
